Watched Jo Nesbo's Headhunter last night.

Decent enough watch, doesn't outstay it's welcome.

Breathe In starring Guy Pearce and Felicity Jones.

It's a about a UK exchange student who goes to America and starts to develop feelings for the guy that she is staying with, unfortunately though he is married with a child her age.

I really liked it and it gives you stuff to think about.

Mission to Lars.

Definitely worth a watch even if not a Metallica fan.

Saw Kingsman: The Secret Service last night and really enjoyed this. A great spin on classic spy films with good story, characters and action. It also doesn't take itself seriously and has a lot of fun with the form and tropes of the genre without falling into parody.

Watched As Above So Below last night. It was a very enjoyable horror that had some great scenarios until the inevitable desent into over the top nonsense. What raised it above so many other horrors was the brilliant setting and I loved the archaeology aspect to it. It was essentially a horror based Tomb Raider film.

Watched a few films recently, some new, some old.

Ride Along (Sky Movies) - very funny

Bad Neighbours (Sky Movies)  - also pretty funny

The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (cinema) - I preferred the first film but was ok

Insomnia (Netflix) -  Haven't seen this for a while and was great to watch again. Tense crime thriller with Al Pacino and Robin Williams

Joe (Netflix) - Gritty drama with Nicholas Cage. Really good film.

I thought Ride Along was quite possibly one of the worst movies I have ever watched!

Amazing Spider-Man 2

Not amazing but I did quite enjoy it. If I was going to sum it up I would say rushed as it had too much going on.

It Follows. Excellent horror that actually lives up to the hype for once, special mention to the awesome Carpenter-esque soundtrack. The guy responsible for the music also did the Fez soundtrack btw.

Not sure if it counts as film or telly, but I've just watched the two-part adaptation of Going Postal, currently available on demand on Sky. Great adaption, probably my favourite of the three Sky adaptations of Pratchett books. Sad to see Sir Terry's cameo at the end Sad

Yes, I thought it was the best adaptation too. The other ones just weren't that great, Hogfather was pretty awful. Still, I live in hope that more adaptations will follow, as Going Postal seemed to be showing things were getting better.

It was a shame that Sky stopped its adaptations. There was some noise that something was being done on The Watch (not sure for whom) but I've heard nothing for a while.

Run All Night (cinema)

Standard Liam Neeson film these days. Simple shooty bang bang entertainment.

Good to see Joel Kinnaman in something as he is excellent in 'The Killing' TV show (it's on Netflix if you haven't seen it).

Mockingjay Pt 1.  A bit dull for a lot of the run time - a filler Hunger Games.

Worth it for two things:
1. Natalie Dormer
2. The Ending 0_0

Started watching a TV movie called Red: Werewolf Hunter starring Felicia Day.

Turned it off after fifteen minutes as my god it was so terrible. The very first shot was the moon shot from the Buffy credits and that was the best bit as it downhill from there. I can like and enjoy bad stuff but this was beyond bad.

Watched Thor as hadn't seen it since it was first released.

Still an enjoyable film.
